A closed mouth catches no flies
For:
- They say that we should have a distance between our mind and tongue. At times we land up talking about something or someone and land into trouble.
- Some people go overboard in their suggestions and talks. That is not warmly welcomed by everybody.
- We know our situation the best. So, we don’t expect people to intrude.
- If you don’t talk unnecessarily, you will have less chances of speaking ill.
- If we talk way too much and for no reason we land up creating awkward situations for people and hurt their sentiments.
- By talking too much, you may unknowingly backstab people and then later may have to confront them.
Against:
- Most of us could be concerned about certain things and people. By closing our mouth, we are only ignoring.
- At times we are not in a condition to think. During this time we expect people to suggest when in dilemma.
- If we always think before we talk or refrain ourselves from talking, it drifts relations.
- When people talk and suggest, it can be taken as criticism that will help us improve.
