Introduction

Mathematics and Statistics are the two important tools in finding solutions for wide ranges of problems. They can help us solving some of difficult problems and assist us in making the right decisions at the right time. Regular meetings and interactions among mathematicians, statisticians and scientists in the region will be beneficial to the development of the fields and collaboration. The first HICAMS International Conference on a Applications of Mathematics and Statistics organized by Bishop Heber College, Trichy-620017, Tamilnadu, India, from 5th-7th January, 2012. The scientific program will include plenary addresses and regular presentations.

Objective

The main objective of this conference is to provide a forum for researchers, educators, students and industries to exchange ideas, to communicate and discuss research findings and new advancement in mathematics and statistics, and to explore possible avenues to foster academic and student exchange, as well as scientific activities within the region. The conference will be a venue to communicate and discuss mathematical and statistical problems faced by the industries.
