IIT Roorkee offers a wide range of academic programmes. It runs eleven Under Graduate, five Integrated Dual Degree, three Integrated M.Tech.,three integrated M.Sc., sixty one Post Graduate and several Doctoral Programmes.[3]
Along with the engineering courses, IIT Roorkee also offers a 2 year residential MBA program. The Department of Management Studies also offers Ph.D. in various disciplines.
IIT Roorkee is also running an MCA programme. Typically, the MCA is a 3 year fulltime degree course consisting of six semesters. It covers various aspects of computing, accounting, finance, programming, design and managing networks and databases

Admission for M.Tech,ME,Assistantship for relevant Doctoral Programs.
Eligiblity
A bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/technology/architecture/pharmacy(4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes
Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year os such programmes.
Candidates in the second or higher year of the four-year integrated Master's degree programme(Post-B.Sc) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of five-year integrated Master's degree programme and dual degree programme in engineering technology
candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE(e.g AMIE) as equivalent to B,E/B.Tech.
Duration of exam:3hrs.
JEE
Admission for B.Tech,B.Arch.
Eligiblity
Candidates who have secured 60% (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PD) marks in aggregate in their respective board examination are eligible for the test.
The JEE will be a single objective type examination which will test the comprehension and analytical abilities of students.
JMET
Admission for MBA (in all IIT's)
Eligiblity
Candidates with B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent with first class or equivalent from a recognized Institution
or University OR a Master's degree or equivalent in any discipline with first class or equivalent from a recognized Institution
or University are eligible to apply. Students in their final year of qualifying degree course are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, provided they complete all requirements for the qualifying degree

Eligiblity
JAM qualified candidates shall have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admissions in IITs.
• At least 55% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/OBC Category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC/ST and PD Category candidates in the qualifying degree. For candidates with letter grades/CGPA (instead of percentage of marks), the equivalent percentage of marks will be decided by the admitting institute(s).Seats Available

Programmes of Study and Eligibility Requirements
B.Tech - 4 yrs and Dual Degree (B.Tech & M.Tech) - 5 yrs
Candidates who have passed the final examination under the 10+2 system or its equivalent (or) a pass in the three year diploma in Engineering and who have been placed in the final merit list in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). JEE is a must for foreign national students also.
M.Tech - 2 yrs
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture or equivalent or a Mater's degree in Mathematics / Physics / Life Sciences / Related Subjects and a valid GATE score (for students who got degree from India).
M.Sc - 2 yrs & M.Tech (some Courses)
Bachelor's degree (a three year B.Sc. degree after 10+2) in Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics with first class or at least 60% of aggregate marks or equivalent and qualify in Joint Admission Test (JAM) (for students who got degree from India).
M.B.A - 2 yrs
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology or a Master's degree with First class OR at least 60% of aggregate marks OR equivalent and qualify in Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) (for students who got degree from India).
Ph.D - 2 - 5 yrs
Master's degree in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record or a Master's degree by Research in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record. Master's degree in Sciences with a good academic record and of exceptional merit where eligible, for the relevant Engineering discipline and a valid GATE score or qualified in NET (CSIR/ UGC)/NBHM/JMET/CAT/AIMA or equivalent. (for students who got degree from India)

IIT-Roorkee Scholarships
merit-cum-means scholarship
The Institute offers merit-cum-means scholarship to 25% of undergraduate students. Several other scholarships are announced from time to time. Bank loans are also easily available whenever required. Financial help is provided as Institute free studentship and scholarships to undergraduate students belonging to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.

Students admitted to the 2-year M.Sc. degree in sciences are also awarded merit-cum-means scholarships. A number of scholarships, teaching / research assistantship schemes provide financial support to students of M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes. Sponsored (full-time as well as part-time), self-financing foreign students and M.B.A. students are , however, not eligible for benefits of this scheme. Students are encouraged to earn while they learn.
Prizes and certificates are given to students on the basis of their performance in curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
