ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Case method of teaching has become very popular among Business Schools across the globe. Case studies in class rooms enhance the decision making skill of students. The growth in case writers coupled with availability of good cases has made B-School faculty to embrace case method of teaching. SONA Business case conference is first of its kind in South India to bring a comprehensive platform to discuss Case study teaching and writing in varied range of topics.
To facilitate faculties and executives to present their experiences and cases.
To help case writers to develop their cases by feedback from reviewers and conference delegates.
To train participants in developing cases and teaching notes to get published in leading case repositories and Journals.
To equip participants with tools and methods of teaching and discussing a case in classroom.
CALL FOR BUSINESS CASES
Unpublished Business case studies are invited. Business cases are developed considering the issues pertaining to management functions, nature of the industry, cultural dimension, competition, and government policies. The data sources used for case development can be of field research, published sources and generalised experiences. Considering these ideas the following themes are developed
Finance / Accounts / Banking / Insurance
Business / Social Entrepreneurship
Organisational Behaviour / Human Resource Management
Economics, Politics, Business Environment and Strategy
Total Quality Management / General Management
Hospitality Management / Health Management
The list is only suggestive of categories and this does not limit the area of participants.
Manuscript should be in American English, A4 size MS-word document with 2.9 cm. as left and right margin and 2.7 cm. as top and bottom margin. Font style-Times New Roman and Font size-12.
The author(s) are required to submit an original and unpublished case study which has not been submitted or discussed in any previous conference of any public forum.
The cases can be based on primary or secondary data. The cases written with secondary data should mention all the sources of information and cases based on primary data must have organisational consent.
Compact cases with 2 – 3 pages or cases with maximum 8-10 pages are preferred.
Fully finished cases should have a comprehensive teaching note.
Any issue of plagiarism will result in disqualification of case from the conference.
Your Teaching note should have details on Case synopsis, Target group, Learning objectives, Teaching strategy, Discussion questions with detail analysis, Background reading, Area of the case, Highlights and key points of the case study.
